Getting a minimalist a present can be hard as their whole ideology revolves around not having things.
You want to get them something they will use and cherish which can be difficult when they don’t generally cherish physical things. So maybe you want to get them something they will use like clothing but is a plain black shirt special enough? So if your special someone is a minimalist and you are drawing a blank for what to get them, this article is for you!
As a minimalist myself, I put together a list of 50 presents that a minimalist might enjoy.
I also want to draw attention to the fact that the best present might be an experience. Many studies show that happiness is more strongly tied to experiences and memories than physical items. Therefore at the end of this article, I wrote a section on ideas for experiences you can gift your minimalist instead of items.
Remember, the name of the game is quality! It’s better to gift something small that is made sustainably and will last a while than a bunch of little things that will be thrown out and forgotten about by the end of next month.
And although minimalists generally don’t like useless gifts, every minimalist has an area of interest that they are passionate about and therefore items in this area aren’t pointless but rather useful and therefore is “allowed” in their minimalist lifestyle.
